Yes!  Car leases will hurt your credit until you pay down the initial balance of the lease 50%.  So if your total lease was $10k, you would need a balance of at least $5k for this debt to turn positive.  Some folks haven't seen benefits until they reach the 35% mark!!!  Ouch.  We know car leases are normally cheaper than buying so there is a payoff for most people who don't drive over 15k miles per year.  We do not recommend going over a 3 year lease unless you get a really, really, really good deal.
