4 THINGS TO DO IMMEDIATELY AFTER BANKRUPTCY!

Just when you thought you were out of the woods with your debt, the first thing you realize a few years after filing bankruptcy is that the creditors, which you thought you had gotten free from, never took their debts off your credit report.  We routinely receive phone calls from people three years out of bankruptcy that have run into this problem.

Many would think their attorney's, for the exorbitant fee's they charge, would do this for you, but, don't hold your breath.  Attorneys only pull your credit BEFORE you file bankruptcy, very rarely after.  So here is what you need to do about 3 months after your bankruptcy has been discharged.  You'll know when its discharged because you will receive a letter in the mail.

  1. Call us to so we can pull a free credit report for you.
  2. We will review your credit report and let you know what has NOT come off.
  3. We will send all the letters to each credit bureau for you to make sure you really do start with a clean slate.
  4. Save $300 as fast as you can so you can get a pre-paid credit card from your local bank or credit union.  This pre-paid credit card MUST report to all 3 credit bureaus and significantly raise your score over the next 12 months.  There are pre-paid cards that DO NOT report to the credit bureaus;  this is not what you want!
